WeCalledIt (wecalledit.app) publishes AI football predictions and grades every call in public. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.
Account details. When you create an account we collect your email address, a username, and your password (stored by our authentication provider in hashed form, we never see it). You can add an avatar if you choose.
Contact details for alerts. If you opt in to prediction alerts we collect the channel you choose: your email address or your phone number for WhatsApp. This is optional and off by default.
Messages you send us. If you use the contact form we keep your name, email, message, and technical details (IP address, browser type) that protect the form from abuse.
Prize winner details. If you win a prize we ask for a delivery name, address, and phone number, used only to get the prize to you.
Usage and cookies. Necessary cookies keep you signed in and the site working. Analytics and marketing cookies run only if you accept them. See the Cookie Policy or open to change your choice.
We use your information to run the service: keeping your account working, showing your activity, grading predictions, and improving the product. If you opted in, we use your contact details to send you new predictions, and every message includes a way to stop. We use contact-form details to reply to you and to prevent spam. With your consent, marketing cookies help us measure our advertising.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to make automated decisions that have legal effects on you. Our predictions are about football, not about you.
We use trusted service providers to run WeCalledIt: cloud hosting and database services, an email delivery service for the messages you asked for, and, when WhatsApp alerts launch, a messaging provider to deliver them. They process data on our instructions only.
If you accepted marketing cookies, advertising partners (such as Google or Meta) receive the standard signals their pixels collect so we can measure campaigns. This only happens after you accept marketing cookies, never before.
We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the service from abuse or fraud.
Account data stays while your account is active. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to handle your request. Prize delivery details are kept only as long as needed to deliver and verify the prize. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within a reasonable period, except what we must keep by law.
You can access and update your profile in the app. You can opt out of alerts at any time from your profile or via the stop option in any message. You can change cookie choices any time via Cookie settings. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it, by contacting us. We honour these requests in line with applicable data protection laws, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act and, where it applies, the GDPR.
Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted, and we review our security practices regularly. No online service can promise perfect security, but we take real measures and we fix issues fast when we find them.
WeCalledIt discusses football predictions in a betting context, so the service is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. Questions or requests: reach us through the contact page.
